Reading:
To express meanings in written texts and short simple essays to interact with the surrounding environment.

B.     Basic Competence
To express the systematic rhetoric in written texts and short simple essays with many written language that can accept to be interested with the surrounding environment.

a.    Students can identify the systematic rhetoric in written texts.

E.     Materials

Transportation

       People need transportation to move from one place to another. There are three kinds of transportation. They are land transportation, air transportation, and water transportation.
       The common way to travel for a short distance is by land. It is cheaper than by water or air. There are many kinds of vehicle on the road such as cart, pedicab, bicycle, motorcycle, car, bus, and train.
       People use water transportation to cross the sea. There are many kinds of water transportation. For example, ship, canoe, yacht, boat and so on.
       The most expensive transportation is by plane. A plane moves on the air. It is the fastest transportation. It can reach thousands kilometers in a few hours.

Answer the questions below!
1.      How many kinds of transportation are mentioned in the text?
2.      It is expensive to travel by road?
3.      What do people use to travel for along distance?
4.      Mention 3 traditional transportations in the text!
5.      What is the fastest means of transportation?

    4. Giving homework: Make an outline of a narrative (Task 3)
